Roco Kingdom Tier List: Best Pets and Team Picks
A provisional Roco Kingdom pet tier list built on roles, not hype: which starters and early Jinies are worth investing in during the global beta.
Most Roco Kingdom tier lists rank creatures by damage. That is the wrong axis for a six-slot team game. A Jinie is S-tier when it does a job your team cannot replace, and B-tier when a cheaper capture does the same job at 90% of the value.
This pet tier list is provisional. The global beta began on 27 October 2026, the data wipe is coming, and the Chinese launch version is the only large balance sample. Grades reflect role value in the early and mid-game, not final launch strength.

How the grades work
- S: defines a team archetype or solves a problem no common Jinie solves.
- A: strong in its role, replaceable but expensive to replace.
- B: usable while you wait for a better option.
- C: a collection piece or a traversal tool, not a battle investment.
A Jinie can be S-tier for story and C-tier for PvP. The table below names the context.
The provisional list
| Tier | Jinie | Best context | Why it ranks here |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | Sparka | Story, early PvE | Highest burst of the starters, clears grass-heavy routes fast |
| S | Cerulla | PvP, sustain | Low energy costs and a defensive profile that survives swaps |
| S | Dimo | Flex damage | Free story gift with a flexible skill pool and no rare capture cost |
| A | Meewee | Tank, attrition | Self-healing and forgiving, but slower than the other starters |
| A | Duckiji | Traversal, water routes | Opens water travel early; battle value is secondary |
| A | Vargyr | Unknown beta role | Featured attacker with a strong kit; global performance unconfirmed |
| B | Starter bird | Flight | Keep it for traversal even if it never joins the battle six |
| B | Early grass support | Sustain | Useful until a dedicated healer or energy battery appears |
| C | Cosmetic variants | Collection | Same role as the base species; do not rebuild a team for a skin |
The three S-tier picks are not equally available. Sparka and Cerulla are starter choices, so you can only have one on day one. Dimo is a story gift in the Chinese version and should be claimed before you spend resources on a generic attacker.
The beta wipes. Do not spend real money, do not buy accounts, and do not chase a Vargyr because a content creator called it broken. The purpose of the list is to help you spend the next twenty hours well.
Why Sparka is S-tier for story
Story content rewards speed. Every extra turn is Vitality, and every failed boss attempt is a wasted trip. Sparka's burst shortens both.
The catch is that Sparka is a known quantity. Its damage is front-loaded, so a boss with a defensive phase or a water resist turns the fight into an energy problem. That is why the best team guide pairs it with a battery or a second damage type instead of five more fire attackers.
Why Cerulla is S-tier for PvP
PvP is a mana race. In the Chinese version each side has four mana, and a knockout removes one. A Jinie that survives an extra turn and forces the opponent to spend energy is worth more than a glass cannon that trades one-for-one.
Cerulla's low skill costs and defensive growth fit that logic. It is not the fastest story pick, but it is the starter most likely to still be in your PvP six after the story ends.
Dimo: the free flex slot
Dimo is the best value in the early game because it costs nothing but story time. A flexible attacker can fill the second damage slot while you wait for a specialized capture, and its skill pool lets you test different coverage without rebuilding the team.
Do not treat "free" as "disposable". Give Dimo real levels and a coherent skill set; a well-built story gift outperforms a poorly built rare capture.
The A-tier: good, but not a plan
Meewee is the comfortable starter: self-healing, tanky and forgiving. It is A-tier rather than S because it does not shorten fights, and the early game rewards speed. In a stall or attrition team it can move up.
Duckiji is a traversal pick first. Water travel unlocks routes and resources, and a mount that also fights is convenient. Rank it by the time it saves, not by its damage.
Vargyr is the wildcard. The official material presents it as a featured attacker, but the global beta's balance is unconfirmed. Treat it as A-tier potential, not a must-capture.
What is missing from the list
The Chinese version has dozens of role-defining Jinies that are not in the global beta's opening roster, including weather setters, poison converters and awakenable carries. Ranking them now would be fiction: the English names, availability and numbers are not confirmed.
When the global roster expands, the list will be rebuilt around three questions:
- Does it create a win condition, or support one?
- Can a cheaper Jinie do the same job?
- Does it need a specific team to function?
A yes to the first and no to the second is how a Jinie earns S-tier.
How to use a tier list without wasting resources
- Pick one S-tier carry and build around it. Do not collect four S-tier attackers with no support.
- Check your save file, not the list. A B-tier Jinie with good talents and a nature you can use beats an S-tier with neither.
- Ignore PvP grades until you have a full six. Story grades and ladder grades measure different things.
- Re-rank after every patch. A balance change can move a Jinie two tiers overnight.
The counters guide explains how to answer the top archetypes, which matters more than the tier of any single pick.

FAQ
Who is the best Jinie in Roco Kingdom? There is no single best. Sparka is the best story pick, Cerulla the best starter for PvP, and Dimo the best free flex slot.
Is Vargyr worth building? It is a featured attacker with a strong kit, but the global beta values are unconfirmed. Build it only if you already have a support core.
Will this tier list change at launch? Yes. The beta roster is smaller and the wipe resets progression. Expect a full rebuild when the launch roster and balance are known.
Should I reroll for an S-tier? No. The beta wipes, and the starter choice is the only decision that matters in the first hour.
